The service manual says 7500 miles. Tons more potential with the KLX than the XT. I've heard the WR is even more pipe-ish than the KLX, as in, gotta stay up on the revs to keep it grunting it out. The Honda 230L is old spec but based on my research, its more dirt-oriented than the XT but still falls short of the KLX.

Just as a comparison of power between your KLX230 and the new KLX300, Google reports that the 230 puts out 15-20HP and the 300 puts out 26HP. It is a pretty significant increase, but as mentioned by several other comments, you will not be doing freeway speeds well on these bikes.
Singletrackfoevah. It's a small trail/utility bike, those little things don't really make much difference for the average joe. Fuel injection alone is well worth going with the klx. And the klx is way more adult sized than the ttr 230.Utilizing the diverse platform of the KLX, Kawasaki offers the 230 in a variation that can suit a large variety of new and beginning riders. New for 2023 is the KLX230 S which offers the same OVce.
